Sometimes imaging is required to see your pets insides to help find a diagnosis. Imaging, for example allows us to assess your, pets heart and lungs, look for intestinal obstructions, find bladder stones and assess orthopaedic injuries, amongst so many other things.
We have a modern digital x-ray machine on site and well as many other imaging modalities such as dental x-rays, a modern ultrasound unit and an endoscope that can be used to examine the inside of the stomach and colon.
For very complicated cases our x-rays are able to be read remotely by a specialist radiologist. We can also refer for specialist ultrasounds within the Wellington region, or to Massey University in the rare event a CT scan is needed.
