Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a powerful diagnostic tool and non-invasive procedure that allows us to pass a tube with a tiny cameras into cavities. This allows us to examine internal organs without surgery. At Crofton Down’s Vets we can provide the following endoscopic services:

This is where an endoscope is passed into the upper gastrointestinal organs to assess for disease. We can perform:

Endoscopic examination and biopsies

Endoscopic foreign body removal

Endoscopic assisted gastropexy

Endoscopic PEG tube placement (feeding tube)

Our rhinoscope allow us to examine the internal structure of a dogs nose to assess for diseases such as fungal disease, cancers and foreign bodies. We can remove foreign bodies and/ or take biopsies as needed.
